We urge you to familiarize yourself with this policy before securing a booking. By confirming a charter with CommunityInsightCentral, you accept and consent to these terms for refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Complete refund except for service charges
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions
Conditions: Must be submitted in writing through email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half the total cost of the charter
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 deducted from the refund amount
Conditions: Valid justification needed; admin fees apply
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: No refunds provided
Exception: Consideration for emergencies on a case-by-case basis
Alternative: Credit for future charters might be an option at the discretion of the management
Conditions: Supporting documents required for emergency cases
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Your safety comes first. If weather conditions are deemed hazardous by our certified captain and unsuitable for chartering, we provide these adaptable options:
- Full Refund: if rescheduling isn’t an option, 100% of the booking fee is returned
- Reschedule: you can change your booking date to the next available slot without additional charges
- Charter Credit: you'll receive a voucher that's valid for one year from the initial booking day
Weather Assessment Process
Our assessment of weather conditions includes:
- Evaluation of wind conditions
- Sea state and swell assessment
- Forecast for visibility and precipitation
- Notices and warnings issued by coastal authorities
- Professional judgment from our captain regarding safety
Decision Timeline: Decisions on weather-related cancellations are finalized at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Emergency Circumstances
We sympathize with unforeseen medical emergencies. These incidents may be eligible for special refund considerations:
- Immediate hospitalization due to illness or injury
- Death within the close family circle
- Unexpected military deployment or recall
- Mandatory jury duty or legal obligation
- Travel disruptions caused by natural disasters
Documentation Requirements
Certain documents are needed to process emergency refund claims:
- Certification from a medical institution or proof of hospitalization
- Death verification, if relevant
- Military deployment orders
- Juridical summons or jury duty notification
- Public notices or declarations of emergency that hinder travel
Processing: We aim to process emergency refund requests within 3-5 business days after receiving valid documentation.
Operational Cancellations
Mechanical Issues
If the yacht designated for your charter has mechanical issues that can't be fixed:
- Alternative Vessel: We will seek to arrange a similar alternative for you
- Full Refund: Offered if no equivalent alternative is available
- Partial Refund: If the alternate yacht has differing rates
- Compensation: We may provide additional compensation to offset any inconveniences
Crew Unavailability
In the unlikely event that a certified crew cannot be provided:
- We will try to arrange a substitute crew if possible
- Full refund in cases where the charter cannot proceed
- Options to reschedule without incurring extra charges
Refund Processing
Payment Method
Refunds are reverted back to the original form of payment:
- Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: Processed within 3-5 business days
Processing Fees
Credit Card Processing
€50 charge applies for cancellations made over 72 hours in advance
Bank Transfer Processing
A €25 charge is applicable for all bank transfer refunds
International Processing
Extra fees may be incurred for international transactions
Charter Credits
When Credits Are Offered
In certain scenarios, instead of a refund, we might offer a credit for your charter:
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the charter
- Charters canceled due to weather
- Requests to move the booking to a different date
- Disruptions in operations
Credit Terms
- Validity: Credits are valid for a period of 12 months after being issued
- Transferability: Credits are non-transferable
- Value: Equal to the initial charter value, excluding processing fees
- Usage: Credits can be applied to any available charters
- Expiration: Credits expire after 12 months with no extensions
Partial Service Refunds
Service Interruptions
In the event your charter is interrupted or shortened due to factors we can control:
- You'll receive a pro-rated refund corresponding to the unused portion
- A voucher for an equivalent charter on a future date
- Additional services or upgrades may be offered complimentary
Guest-Related Interruptions
If a charter ends prematurely due to the actions or violations by guests:
- No reimbursement for the unused portion of the charter
- The full amount for the charter remains payable
- Additional fees may be imposed
Dispute Resolution
If you find yourself not agreeing with a refund decision, you have the option to:
- Ask for a reconsideration from our management
- Supply further evidence or documents
- Look for a resolution through consumer protection services
- Seek legal avenues as dictated by the relevant laws

Step 2: Provide Information
Ensure your request includes:
- Your booking reference number
- The scheduled date and time of the charter
- The reason for the cancellation
- Any necessary backing documents (where applicable)
- How you would prefer to receive the refund
Step 3: Review and Processing
Our team will confirm receiving your request within a day, assess it against our policies, and inform you of the decision within two days. If approved, the refund will proceed within the specified processing time.
Important Notes
- All requests for refunds should be made in a written format
- Every refund is processed in €, irrespective of the currency used for payment
- We highly advocate for securing travel insurance
- Our policy may be revised, with a 30-day notice period beforehand
- Refund operations are subject to relevant taxes and stipulations
